Our Workers' Compensation Claims Analystwill be responsible for implementing effective and efficient claims management processes to minimize the total cost of risk, support the Company's objectives, minimize risk to people, property and other resources. Primary responsibility includes oversight of the claims administrator for our Workers' Compensation program. Additional responsibilities include managing vendors including third party claims administrator, defense counsels, consultants, and other external parties related to claims processes. The position reports to the Director of Risk Management and collaborates with other team members, internal departments, and interfaces with external advisors and vendors.

Responsibilities
You Will...

  • Develop claims management goals, objectives and strategic plans based on business impact, available resources and budget
  • Effectively collaborate with additional claims team members
  • Oversee Workers' Compensation claims management internal and external activities, including but not limited to claim processing and assessment, settlement evaluation and negotiation, vendor management, and other functional responsibilities
  • Recommend metrics, programs and processes to effectively manage continuous improvement of claims management
  • Establish and maintain vendor relationships and measure performance of third-party service providers
  • Support development, analysis, management of the casualty reserve, working with external vendors and internal teams
  • Work with internal field operations management to provide information and training regarding the Workers' Compensation claims processes

Qualifications
The Experience You Will Bring (Minimum Requirements):
  • BS in Risk Management and Insurance, preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years Workers' Compensation with multi-State experience in a corporate risk management department, human resources, insurance broker, claims supervisor or insurer
  • Working knowledge of Workers' Compensation coverage lines
  • Ability to analyze data and formulate action plans
  • Experienced in claim negotiations and settlement practices, preferred
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel
  • Ability to exercise a degree of initiative, problem resolutions skills, and independent judgement
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to identify and focus on key priorities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent customer service skills supporting field operations organization
  • Commitment to continuous improvement

What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
  • Experience with global insurance program management

Physical Demands / Working Environment:
  • We require the ability to pass a drug screen and background checks. Candidates must have the ability to perform the requirements of the job with or without accommodations.
  • Must be local to the Atlanta metro area or willing to self-relocate to the area
