SUMMARY/SCOPE:
The Women's Head Soccer Coach willbe required to teach, supervise, and correct all techniques, schemes forpractice and games.
HSU JOB FAMILY CLASSIFICATION INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teachessport activity to individual or groups of students at a private university byperforming the following duties.
Previous experience coachingsoccer is required.
Will be responsible forhelping the women's soccer team to achieve its maximum potential.
Primarily responsiblefor recruiting, practice and match preparation along with daily tasks.
Explains and demonstrates principles,techniques, and methods of regulating movement of body, hands, or feet toachieve proficiency in soccer.
Observes students during practice todetect and correct mistakes.
Explains and enforces safety rules andregulations.
Organizes and conducts competition andtournaments.
Maintains accurate record of receiptsand expenditures.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will supervise the AssistantWomen's Soccer Coach along with student workers.
Carriesout supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policiesand applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, andtraining student employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraisingperformance; rewarding and disciplining student employees; addressingcomplaints and resolving problems.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES (Language, Mathematical, Reasoning and Computer Skills):
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such assafety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speakeffectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and dividein all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bargraphs.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to defineproblems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability tointerpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical ordiagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Toperform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of WordProcessing software; Spreadsheet software; Payroll systems; internet softwareand Contact Management systems.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree from four-yearcollege or university is required
Previous experience coachingsoccer at the collegiate or high school level is preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Current CPR, AED, and First Aidcertifications required (or must be obtained).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This is anExempt Level, Professional Position which often requires extended hours beyond a40-hour work week, especially during performance season.
Candidate mustbe able to work non-traditional hours, including nights and weekends dependingon the time of year.
Must maintain avalid Class C Driver's License and maintain a clear driving record to beinsurable under the university liability policy.
Must be able todrive an automobile and 15-passenger van.
Must be able todrive to complete work assignments on and off campus, as needed.
Some travel maybe required on occasion in order to attend off-campus events.
