Overview:
The Harness Technician is a critical member of our daily operation, specializing in the assembly, installation, and repair of wiring harnesses. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong technical background in electrical systems, particularly in the assembly of complex Wire Harnesses used in various industries. Experience in automotive and/or autonomous driving industries is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Harness Manufacture, Assembly and Installation
- Experienced in cable manufacture given the requirements.
- Accurately assemble wiring harnesses based on schematic diagrams and assembly instructions, ensuring compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Install wiring harnesses into final products, which may include vehicles, aircraft, or industrial equipment, paying close attention to routing, fastening, and connection requirements.
Quality Control and Testing:
- Perform thorough inspections and functional tests on wiring harnesses to ensure they meet required electrical standards and safety regulations.
- Identify and rectify any defects or issues in the harnesses, such as miswiring, poor connections, or insulation damage.
Repair and Maintenance:
- Diagnose and repair damaged or malfunctioning wiring harnesses, using a variety of tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Execute routine maintenance and updates to existing harness systems, ensuring their longevity and optimal performance.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical diploma or certification in electrical engineering, electronics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Harness Technician in mobile industry or or a similar tech space.
- Strong understanding of electrical principles and wiring schematics. Proficient in the use of hand tools and electrical testing equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and manual dexterity.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Good communication and teamwork skills
