Wire Edm Machinist

Position Overview: Randstad Staffing is looking for an experienced Wire EDM Machinist who will be responsible for setting up and operating wire electrical discharge machining (EDM) equipment to produce intricate and high-tolerance parts. As a Wire EDM Machinist, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process.

Shift: 1st / Monday-Friday

Pay: $25-35 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Set up, program, and operate wire EDM machines to produce precision parts as per job specifications.
• Load and secure workpieces into the machine and ensure accurate alignment.
• Monitor the EDM process and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Select appropriate tooling, materials, and cutting speeds.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet tight tolerances and quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of wire EDM equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine-related issues to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to ensure efficient workflow.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Wire EDM Machinist, with expertise in wire EDM machine setup and operation.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.
• Strong knowledge of cutting speeds, feeds, and material properties.
• Ability to make tooling and fixture selections for specific jobs.
• Excellent attention to detail, quality control, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Safety-conscious mindset.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training or certification related to wire EDM machining is preferred.
