Winery Tasting Room Associate

The Finger Lakes Regions original winery is seeking Tasting Room Associates. Pleasant Valley Wine Company, known as a historic destination located just outside the village of Hammondsport, New York, includes an on-site Tasting Room, multiple event spaces, in one of the Finger Lakes most beautiful settings. Key Qualifications:

• An energetic and positive associate who treats all guests and associates with courtesy and respect

· Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner

· Ability to conduct wine tastings while delivering an excellent guest experience

• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently while assisting guests in the retail shop following tastings

• Enthusiasm for food and wine and culinary trends

· Develop an understanding of the Pleasant Valley Wine Company history and wines; and learn to engage guests the accurate storytelling of the wines and history

· Lead tours of the wineries historic buildings

· Ensure that the daily cleaning checklist is completed including restocking supplies and cleaning glasses. Operate and sanitize all equipment in a safe and proper manner

· Participate in team efforts and perform additional duties as needed

· Moderate physical activity performing occasional somewhat strenuous activities including standing, walking, reaching, and carrying. Requires lifting and moving objects up to 40 lbs. in weight

• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays as required and embrace versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm

• Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to relate to associates & guests

• Ability to travel and work off-site events
