Minimum qualifications - Wildland Fire Suppression Specialist: 8 month ($3471.00 - $5211.00, Monthly plus benefits).

• Must have 2 years of Wildland Firefighting experience. (Please clearly identify how you meet the 2 years of Wildland Firefighting experience in your work history)
• One 3-6 month season is equivalent to one year of experience for seasonal positions only.
• 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Will be required to take and pass the physical fitness Work Capacity Test at the arduous level.

Minimum Qualifications - Wildland Fire Suppression Specialist8 month - Underfill Entry ($3009.00 - $4319.00, Monthly plus benefits).

• No experience necessary.
• 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Will be required to take and pass the physical fitness Work Capacity Test at the arduous level.

Required: Prior to employment, show proof of completion of S-130, S190 and L-180 classes - the classes are FREE and found at https://wildlandfirelearningportal.net
General Duties:

• Complete Wildland Firefighting activities; locate fires using maps, Global Positioning System (GPS), and compass. Will teach.
• Construct fireline using hand tools or power equipment by cutting, scraping, digging, and chopping or burning out to remove flammable materials.
• Operate many different types of fire equipment.

Skills we are looking for:

• Experience working collaboratively as a member of a team.
• Ability to perform in high stress, fast paced emergency situations.
• Ability to use hand tools and operate motorized equipment commonly used for Wildland Fire.
