Essential Duties and responsibilities

 

· Support for the efficient and effective management and monitoring of the Cold and/or Dry Storage Warehouses through the shipping and receiving of Dry Goods, raw and finished goods

· Ensure that sales orders are dropped to the pick pool with sufficient lead-time to stage orders and/or to pick live for carriers.

· Ensure that necessary inventory required to fulfill orders is available in the warehouse from which it will ship. Requires expediting of transfers through coordination with Logistics Coordinators to have required inventory on the dock when needed.

· Coordinate the capacity utilization with the Warehouse Management department to maintain the warehouse at 95% utilization/occupancy. Assures that replenishment picks are scheduled and being done consistently in the warehouse. Assures that Forward Pick slots are replenished routinely to avoid air picks.

· May participate in various Logistics analyses/tasks associated with projects for the warehouses, Bar-coding utilization, warehouse efficiency initiatives, utilization of pallet positions etc. and may be called upon to test and implement process changes and corrective actions.

· Review and coordinate with transportation the movement of freight between facilities to achieve maximum efficiency and customer service.

· Assists Warehouse Coordinators with JDE, BOSS, and RF problems.

· May help determine Warehouse employee work assignments and/or may be redirected to other tasks as required.

· Coordinate product allocations between facilities to prevent customer shortages

· Manage the timing of events within a the Warehouse Management System (WMS)

· Validate the Manifest for load accuracy

· Check-in / Out a high volume of Carriers

· Track and submit Temp Payroll

· Schedule after hour calls for appointments (mostly inbound)

· Resolve systematic issues regarding warehouse processes

· Manage utilizing multi-systems such as JD Edwards and BOSS

· Accurately relieve CHEP pallet inventory, huge liability if not completed accurately.

· Responsible for management of internal fleet drivers in New England

 

Qualifications

 

· B. A. or B.S. Degree in Logistics, Finance, General Supervision or related field or equivalent experience in Supply Chain

· Strong communication skills

· Excellent organization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities

· Strong team player and team leader

· Strong computer skills

· APICS or other professional designation is an asset

· Ability to understand priorities of customer requirements in order to direct labor

· Ability to fully understand, priorities and communicate when reallocation of labor is needed to the Ware
