Job Title: WH Material Handler-GFLI- 1st Shift
Reports To: 1st Shift Team Lead-Shipping
Location: Lithonia, GA
Number of openings: 1
Hours: (7am-3:30pm)
Work Days: Mon-Fri.
Summary: This position receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments by performing the following duties.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Reads customer order, shipping Pick List, or Bill of Lading to determine items to be moved, gathered, or shipped.
- Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, or product code.
- Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets.
- Marks materials with identifying information.
- Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
- Uses computer to enter records.
- Compiles Pick Lists or Bills of Ladings from customer specifications.
- Drives vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse, plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment.
- Prepares parcels for Export or Air Shipment.
- Maintains inventory records.
- Inspect outbound trailers to insure GMP standards
- Visually inspect finished product for correct placarding and labeling
- Load finished product on out bound trailers.
- Verify status of pending shipments.
- Daily forklift inspections before using lift.
- May be crossed trained in batching, staging, Receiving and assigned to rotate into these

Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions: high precarious places, extremely cold and hot temperatures and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Odor present in the environment. Employee must have NO allergies to food. Employee must have NO allergies to basic cleaning chemicals.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision. The employee must be able to safely use an electric pallet jack and forklift.
