Western Regional Coordinator
Reports to: Program Director
Employment Status: Full Time Exempt
Compensation: $50,000 yearly; includes generous benefits package
Travel required regionally on a frequent basis and periodically within the state of Pennsylvania

The Training and Education Fund is a non-profit 501(c)3 offering training, coaching and workshops throughout Pennsylvania. Our mission is to empower individuals through development and delivery of innovative healthcare training and education. TEF partners with PA Frontline Healthcare Training, Inc, a for-profit organization focused on providing training opportunities for frontline workers and manager.
We are seeking to hire a full time Western Regional Coordinator in Pennsylvania. This position will work under the direction of the Program Director to design, implement, and facilitate training sessions for participants in communities throughout Pennsylvania. This work is almost exclusively training for direct care workers.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise the work of orientation instructors who work on a per diem basis, making sure they have what they need to conduct Pre-Service Direct Care Worker Orientation sessions and Safety Orientation sessions, ensure quality facilitation is being provided and that accurate records are being kept
- Locate and secure venues in the communities for Safety Orientation sessions to be held in-person
- Develop a regional schedule (times, locations, assign instructors) for sessions that meet the needs of participants throughout Western PA
- Instruct at least one orientation session, two safety orientations and one micro credential per month
- Train in multiple curriculums including pre-service orientation, safety orientation and 11 other classes
- Teach pre-service orientation and safety orientation and possibly other sessions as needed up to 4 classes per month
- Build relationships with local community organizations, support groups, and other stakeholders
- Responsible for sending a daily roster to all instructors after 5 pm who are teaching the next day
- Provide reporting and tracking of attendance at sessions and enter in database on a daily basis
- Help develop/improve curriculum as needed
- Manage program for quality and cost effectiveness
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred but not required. Special consideration to candidates with a degree in education, counseling, human services, healthcare or related field
- Minimum of two-years’ experience teaching or training, preferably with adult students using knowledge of adult education principles
- One year’ experience in workforce development, adult education, human services or healthcare
- Valid PA driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including coverage for instructors within this region as needed and some evenings and weekends when needed
- Residency within close proximity to the Pittsburgh area is preferred
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID 19
Essential Skills/Attributes:
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership and teamwork skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience working for a labor union or social justice organization preferred
- Experience working with people with disabilities and knowledge of independent living a plus
- Bilingual Spanish speakers highly desired
