Western Denim Product Merchandiser (Contract)

About the Role

The Contract / Temp Western Denim Product Merchandiser will be responsible for keeping the day-to-day tasks and deliverables completed and moving forward under the supervision of the VP, Apparel Merchandising and work cross-functionally with other departments including Denim Design and Marketing.

This role will be hybrid at Ariat’s San Leandro, CA office and is not open to remote candidates.

You'll Make a Difference By

• Maintaining the product line vision and strategy for denim that has been set up by the existing Product Merchandiser
• Filtering questions to the right people to get answers in a timely manner
• Completing Day to Day deliverables to keep the product development life cycle in motion
• Be present in line reviews, taking detailed notes and action items to be distributed to the various teams involved.
• Maintaining seasonal merchandising plans set in place by existing PM
• Supporting the go-to-market process with sales and marketing
• Managing line reviews, pre-lines/market feedback and reporting out as needed. Collaborating with VP of Apparel and VP of Denim for final line decisions
• Providing continual open communication with sales team
• Partnering closely with marketing to align launch materials, packaging, and labels and tracking timely delivery
• Responsible for ensuring accuracy and timeliness of information in the data management system in collaboration with data team
• Responsible for accuracy of the product catalog and other sales tools

About You

• Proficient in MS Office applications, with intermediate Excel skills required
• Excellent collaborator with a demonstrated ability to work with cross functional team
• Ability to navigate competing requests from different business partners, possessing excellent multi-tasking skills
• Extremely well organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Pro-active and ability to show initiative/ideas to improve business challenges
• Ability to work in an autonomous environment, self-motivated.
• Apparel experience for a retail or wholesale company a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor’s degree preferred

The hourly range for this position is $35 - $40 per hour.

The salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data for geographic locations. Ariat in good faith believes that this posted compensation range is accurate for this role at this location at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This contract position may be eligible for select benefits through the payrolling agency. Benefits may include medical, dental, and vision insurance options and 401k.
