The successful candidate will be able to excel at the following:
- Gathers oil and gas production information such as production history, well test data, surface pressures, bottom hole pressures and previous well work.
- Plots information on decline curves.
- Prepares and submits routine well work over and re-completion recommendations.
- Gathers downhole assembly and Christmas tree equipment information.
- Prepares sketch of proposed completions.
- Prepares well work procedures.
- Prepares input data and runs various routine computer programs on economics, well work, compressor requirements, design, production, etc.
- Assists engineers in the preparation of various reports, plans and budgets.
- Initiate AFE process by ensuring accurate and up to date AFEs are available to all departments. Assist in the internal routing and approvals process, as needed.
- Prepare and distribute internal drilling, completions, and workover reports from Well View and as requested.
- Organize Q/C and distribute other key information from operated wells such as surveys, casing tally’s, flowback reports, etc.
- Gather daily reports, survey, mud log, flowback, and other pertinent data form activity on non-operated properties and wells of interest. Input critical data from same to WellView and the completion database save final copies in electronic well files.
- Administer WellView, provide support and training to field, office and contract employees to ensure timely data capture of drilling, completion, and workover activities.
- Work with engineers to coordinate data gathering and prepare drilling programs and completions procedures.
- Update and maintain the monthly capital report. Distribute to other departments, as needed.
- Set-up and maintain electronic well files with drilling and completions data for both operated and non-operated wells. Develop and administer a well close-out process designed to ensure al required information is available in the electronic file system and well organized.
The successful candidate will have the following experience:
- Minimum High school diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years as an operations tech or equivalent in oil and gas industry
- Ability to interact effectively with team members and other personnel at various levels of responsibility and to handle a variety of roles within a multidisciplinary team.
- Capable of handling multiple assignments, setting priorities and delivering results under time constraints and at times with limited data
- Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be adaptable, self-motivated with a strong work ethic, and demonstrate a willingness to work overtime as necessary to meet deadlines.
The successful candidate should be PROFICIENT in WellView.
