Job description

This position is located in Sacramento, CA, and is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule for employees who can satisfactorily perform their essential work functions independently and remotely. Specific telework schedules may be discussed further during the interview process.
DUTIES : Under the direction of the Programs I Manager and the Senior Oil and Gas Engineer (Supervisor) for the WellSTAR Unit, the Associate Oil and Gas Engineer will be responsible for the technical review and assessment of the impact of WellSTAR design changes. The incumbent will function as the training lead for the Well Statewide Tracking and Reporting (WellSTAR) project for the California Geologic Energy Management Division (CalGEM). The incumbent will perform assignments requiring a high degree of knowledge and skill in hydrocarbon technology, complex engineering work, extensive communication, data management, and presentation.

Working Conditions
A hybrid telework schedule may be available for this position under Government Code 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California.
