SalaryJOB PURPOSE: The Resdient Care Nurse assists the Resident Care Director with the coordination of assessments and service plans ensuring that care is delivered with the highest quality. The Wellness Nurse will assist with all aspects of compliance with all state and federal guidelines. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist with assessments and service plan coordination. Assist with pre-occupancy screening in the absence of the Resident Care Director. Provide assessment visits to residents and report incidents / illnesses to family members. Use nursing judgement to determine if the resident needs prompt medical attention and communicate follow up care to C.N.A. staff. Assist with pharmacy deliveries for residents who take part in the Self-Administered Medication program. Keep accurate medication lists and provides pharmacy with those residents that are on the SAMM program. Audit the SAMM program for compliance. Assist in monitoring and maintaining Wellness department files, resident records and filing of medication and personal care sheets. Maintain discharge records. Oversee staff to ensure resident care services are being administered properly. Assist with in-service education and orientation of staff. Assist with submission of monthly billing sheets in accordance with the resident service plans and documentation of provided care. Applies “5 Star” customer service approach in all aspects of job. Committed to working with residents and families to develop and implement strategies that promote person-centered care. Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct. Reports to the appropriate managers any known or suspected violations of policy and procedures, regulations or standards of conduct. Performs additional duties as assigned.
