A DAY IN THE LIFE
As the Wellness Director - LPN at our senior living community, your primary responsibilities involve the oversight of wellness programs and services for our elderly residents. Each day begins with the preparation and equipping of the wellness team to ensure the delivery of exceptional care. This includes reviewing schedules, coordinating staff assignments, and promptly addressing any immediate concerns. Conducting team meetings is a key aspect of your role, where you provide guidance and support to staff members. Throughout the day, you engage with residents to assess their individual needs and preferences, working collaboratively to develop personalized wellness plans that enhance their overall well-being. This may encompass coordinating medical appointments, organizing recreational activities, or arranging therapy sessions.
Collaboration with other departments is integral to maintaining seamless care for our residents. You liaise and coordinate with nurses, dining services, and activities directors to establish a comprehensive approach to wellness. Serving as the main point of contact for residents' families, this role requires regular communication, providing updates on their loved ones' well-being, and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current nursing license
- Excellent communication skills
WORK SCHEDULE
This is a full-time leadership position with a set schedule, but you should also be prepared to be on call to address any urgent matters that may arise outside of regular working hours.
