Welder/Machine Operator

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate the steel coil feed machine to load steel coils

• Operate welding equipment to join steel coils together, ensuring strong and secure welds.

• Ensure proper alignment and positioning of steel coils on the feed machine, making adjustments as necessary.

• Perform MIG, TIG and other types of welding accordingly

• De-bur and grind mental as necessary to achieve proper surface texture.

• Perform basic maintenance tasks on the feed machine, such as cleaning and lubricating components, to ensure smooth operation.

• Collaborate with other operators and production staff to optimize workflow and meet production targets.

• Follow welding procedures and safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with industry standards.

• Assist with other duties as assigned by the supervisor or production manager.

Job Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Certification in welding or metalworking from a recognized institution is preferred.

· Proven experience as a metal worker and welder in a manufacturing or fabrication setting.

· Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and convey technical information.

Physical Qualifications:

· Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.

· Lift and carry heavy metal components and materials.

· Precise hand-eye coordination for intricate metalworking tasks.

· Comfortable wearing and using personal protective equipment (PPE) such as welding helmets, gloves, and safety glasses.

· Good vision for inspecting and identifying details in metalworking and welding tasks.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

License/Certification:
