Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine welding requirements
- Set up and operate welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, and stick welders
- Weld and fabricate metal components according to specifications
- Perform quality checks on completed welds to ensure they meet required standards
- Use a variety of hand and power tools to grind, cut, and finish welded parts
- Assemble and fit metal parts together using welding techniques
- Rig and position materials for welding using cranes or other lifting equipment
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Welder/Fitter or similar role
- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting welding symbols
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques, equipment, and materials
- Ability to operate power tools such as grinders and cutting torches
- Familiarity with measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
