Job Title: Welder/Fitter
Supervisor: Operations Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Summary:
This position is within the Operations team of RJS Corporation. The Welder Fitter’s primary responsibility is to complete welding assignments using various welding approaches (Mig - Metal Inert Gas, TIG - Tungsten Inert Gas, and /or Stick/Arc Welding) per established guidelines and standards. Proper fit and weld of RJS products is a very important role within the company as our customers expect a quality product configured to meet their needs. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday on first shift. Additional overtime may be available Monday through Friday and on weekends as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Fitter Welder duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements
- Lay out, position, align, and fit components together according to blueprints, written, and verbal instructions
- Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure in position for final welding
- Select equipment and plan layout of assembly for welding
- Setup welding machines based on the job at hand
- Use a variety of hand and power tools as needed
- Inspect items as instructed and provide feedback to management to ensure any quality defects can be avoided in the future
- Maintain a clean work area, returning equipment and tools at the end of the day
- Assist other departments and functions as needed

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and may occasionally be required to sit, walk, bend, squat, kneel and climb (Ladders). The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $28.00 per hour
