-Translate 2D designs on paper/blueprints into 3D metal objects in the shop and field
-Experience in finish work, our customers care more about how the project looks than if we followed the AWS code book.
-Ability to layout complex geometry (Handrails, Frames and Jigs)
Bonus Skills (higher pay)
-Tig welding steel, aluminum & stainless
-Polishing stainless to #4 or mirror finish
-CNC Press Brake experience
-Sheet metal finger brake experience
-Manual or CNC milling experience
-Paint or powder coat experience
-CAD design
-Field Construction Experience
This position includes fabrication in our shop (Springfield, TN) and installation/fabrication in the field (within 30 miles of Nashville, TN. No overnight travel or jobs away from home. We are a local company that serves local customers. I provide brand new equipment, all the safety gear required and a positive space full of like-minded people. 7am - 3:30pm M-F is the current schedule but we work 6-10's half of the year as work demands.
Bring a welding hood and work boots to your interview. Show me what you can do. I give a welding test at the interview. It requires you to layout, cut, fit, weld and grind a 12" square made out of 1" square tube.
