Production Plus established in 1977, offers comprehensive event services specializing in the fabrication and construction of scenic designs for a wide range of events. Our production facility is home to a fully operational paint, wood, and metal shop enabling us to be a turn-key solution from land survey to load-out.
Overview:
Seeking a Welder/Fabricator to assist in maintaining our metal shop, reviewing build plans, and, contributing to overall build and installations. Welders are responsible for assembling, or repairing damage in metal components using heavy machinery that emits high heat, melting the metal into shape. Individuals should be proactive, practice good time management, be task-oriented, and be able to work collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain tools and machinery
- Be knowledgeable in Plasma Arc Welding
- Experienced in Stick and Mig Welding
- Arrange stock of metal and communicate restocking needs
- Assist in maintaining and arranging shop materials and building supplies
- Assists with maintaining a safe and clean working environment
- Opening to eventually mentoring new hires and less experienced welders
- Performing other shop-related tasks as assigned
Requirement for the Welder:
- 0 - two years’ warehouse experience
- 1-2 years of shop class or trade school experience
- 1-2-year of previous welding experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Drivers License
- Ability to lift 50lbs and assist in the moving of heavy equipment
- Candidates must pass a national criminal background check
