Our growing company is hiring for a metal fabricator. Please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications. While this is our ideal list, we will consider candidates that do not necessarily have all of the qualifications, but have sufficient experience and talent.
Responsibilities for metal fabricator
- Assists other employees doing related work
- Set up and operate Welding Machines
- Cross train to operate Durma CNC press brakes, CNC Water-Jet
- Provide inventory status and make regular recommendations for required parts and supplies
- Fabricate or alter parts in a shop setting
- Inspects product to determine if process is complete
- Ability to read and understand drawing/print specifications
- Measure, cut, weld, assemble, crimp, industrial hydraulic hose
Qualifications for metal fabricator
- Ability to perform basic metal fabrication processes – cutting, forming and punching
- Ability to properly use measure equipment (i.e., caliper, tape measure, height gauge, plug gages, combination square, and protractor)
- Ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings (blue prints)
- Ability to understand and follow method layouts and process notes on routings (work order)
