Welder - Tig

Location: Based out of East Windsor

Shift: 1st Shift

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Carry out skilled tig welding work
• Set up and layout jobs using blueprints, diagrams, and fixtures following welding procedures to weld
• Visual weld inspection for weld quality
• Clean and prepare all detail materials for Manual Weld processing.
• Align and secure holding fixtures, attachments, accessories onto machines.
• Select predetermined settings specific to each machine and specific job.
• Measure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers.
• Maintain records and document in-process inspection data as required.
• Work with a variety of materials, including steel, copper, aluminum, Inconel, and other precious metals.
• Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment to help diagnose machine malfunctions and to determine the need for adjustments or repairs.
• Perform essential machine maintenance as required to maintain part quality and quantity standards.
• Clean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment to remove grease, rust, stains, and foreign matter.
• Report faulty or unusual conditions to the appropriate level of supervision.
• Performs other related duties or responsibilities as requested or required, whether or not specifically mentioned in this job description.
• Must be a “US Person” as defined by US Government and able to work without restriction with ITAR related data.
• Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak English at a functional level.
• Various other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
• Participate in training as required
• 5-10% Domestic Travel required

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift, push, or pull at least 35 lbs.
• Regularly required to sit, stand, reach, bend, and move about our facility

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of Welding experience
• Pass welding test
• Experience reading and following blueprints and drawings for product dimensions
• Experience with setting up and layout of jobs using blueprints, diagrams, and fixtures following TIG welding procedures
• Use of essential hand tools
