Welder Fabricator

As a Welder Fabricator in our manufacturing facility, your primaryresponsibility is to ensure the structural integrity and quality of ourproducts through the precise and skilled application of welding techniques. Youwill primarily focus on MIG welding of steel components while also fabricatingand assembly of various metal structures and products.

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

       MIG Welding Proficiency:Your core competency lies in MIG welding, where you'll be expected to weldsteel parts with precision and consistency. This entails the use of a MIGwelding machine that feeds a continuous wire electrode while shielding the weldarea with an inert gas.

       Joins, fabricates, and repairs metaland other weldable material by applying welding techniques.

       Inspects completed welds to determinestructural bond and soundness.

       May be required to prepare thematerials and set up welding jigs, fixtures, or robot before performing theweld.

       Measure and cut metal components usingvarious tools such as band saws and grinders.

       Operate fabricating machines, such asbrake presses, rollers, shears, and drill presses.

       Fulfill daily production requirements assigned by departmentsupervisor or production manager. 

       Maintain activity logs and or production orders.

       Perform quality control checks throughout the day and record them.

       Performs work in accordance with established safety procedures.

       Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

       Follow all safety guidelines for setup, use, and shut down of any welding equipment daily.

       Must be 18 years of age or older.

       Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

       Ability to read and interprettechnical documents and drawings.

       Must be able to use and read a tapemeasure.

       Ability to perform a Lap Weld, TFillet Weld, and Butt Weld in the flat position and vertical down position.

       Adapt to hot/cold environment,humidity, dust, and noise.

       Ability to stand for extended periodsof time.

       Must be able to use a hand truck orpallet jack.

       Forklift experience.

ADDITIONALNOTES

       Safety Glasses - Company provided - Required while in the shop.

       Industrial work shoes or boots required while in the shop.

       Proper PPE must be worn for the job - Company provided.

       Hearing protection - Company provided/Recommended.

       Welding Gloves - Company provided/Required.

       Auto darkening welding helmet -Required.

       Half facepiece respirator and filters -Company provided/Required.

       Must wear long pants.

       Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
