Responsibilities:

• Perform welding duties according to job specifications 
• Perform Main Weldment for Base Frames:
• Check parts for correct length, width, correct brakes while assembling.
• Cut-drill any holes or slots as required by print or instruction.
• Layout outer frame- tech weld together square
• Add center channels, support pieces, bracing per print-tacking.
• When frame is assembled (tacked together), check to see if square and level.
• Weld according to welding symbols as per welding procedure.
• Add lifting plates, deck plates, or grating, as needed.
• Perform Heat Exchanger Weldment using prints and instruction, weld up stainless steel drum assembly ? tube boxes, support rings.
• Assemble tube weldment on table, squaring while building, install tube boxes, square and tack solid, swedge tubes to tube box.
• Fit tube assembly to assembly per print. Square, weld together as required, adding front plate, support rings and removing angles, channel as needed.
• Perform Sub Assembly Weldments to include: Filter racks, Coil drain pans, Bearing rails, Isolation boxes, Shipping splits weldment and weld to unit using jigs, fixtures, shop equipment as needed.
• Follow Assembly, Materials, and Accounting record keeping practices by promptly and accurately logging pertinent information.
• Maintain equipment, tools, and work area in a neat and orderly fashion.

Qualifications:

• HS graduate or equivalent
• Minimum of three years work experience in welding in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
• Able to handle these materials in 20 gage to ?? inch thick material: stainless steel, copper, aluminum, hot and cold rolled galvanized steel.
• Able to properly use these tools: plasma cutter, band saw, drills, gas torch, mig welder, tig welder, spot welder, die, air tools as grinders, tube swedger, impact wrench.
• Able to efficiently gas weld, tig weld, and mig weld all positions.
• Able to read blueprints and/or shop drawings or sketches.
• Interpersonal and communications skills necessary to work effectively with others within and outside the team.
• Able to perform Physical Requirements of the position.
