Job Description:
American BOA is seeking a skilled Welder proficient in MiG (Metal Inert Gas) and TiG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding techniques to join our team. As a Welder, you will play a crucial role in the fabrication of high-quality metal components used in our diverse range of products.
Responsibilities:
- Perform MiG and TiG welding operations on various types of metal components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Set up welding equipment and select appropriate welding parameters to ensure proper penetration, fusion, and quality of welds.
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings to determine welding requirements and dimensions.
- Inspect welds for quality and conformance to specifications, utilizing visual inspection and measuring instruments.
- Operate welding machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area, including proper storage and handling of welding materials and equipment.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to achieve production goals and resolve any issues related to welding processes.
- Participate in training programs and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance welding skills and knowledge of industry best practices.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and quality standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer expectations.
- Contribute to a positive work environment by demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence.
- Other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Welder, with expertise in MiG and TiG welding techniques.
- Certification in welding (e.g., AWS, ASME) preferred.
- Proficient reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
- Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team.
- Basic math skills and understanding of measurements.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects.
- Commitment to safety, including knowledge of welding hazards and proper safety procedures.
