What You Will Do?
The Weekend Nurse Supervisor is a Registered Nurse who is responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing and the Assistant Director of Nursing in the overall supervision, provision, and quality of nursing care in Marquette's Health Care Center.
Responsibilities:
- Supervises and participates as needed in providing care for residents in accordance with nursing standards of care, facility policy & procedure, and pertinent regulations; including covering nursing shifts on the Medication Cart as needed.
- Responsible for ensuring that nursing personnel complete assessments for each resident during each shift by making rounds in accordance with facility standards, and timely and accurate reporting of changes in conditions to all concerned parties.
- Responsible for ensuring that nursing personnel complete the timely documentation of nursing care, administration of medications, incident reports, physician orders, and all other aspects of care in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
- Mentors, trains, and assists nursing staff in the completion of their duties.
- Reports all complaints/grievances with family members to Director of Nursing as needed.
- Assists new employees with their clinical orientation and helps to evaluate and develop staff.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, or Nurse Manager.
