Weekend Lobby Officer - Temporary - Part Time/Flex - $21/Hr

Sunstates Security is hiring a qualified customer service professional to work as a temporary, Part-Time/Flex Security Officer for a software company client in Westford, MA. This position has a starting pay rate of $21/hour, paid weekly. The chosen candidate would be available to work weekends. The safety & security position is designed to maximize the service, response, and communication to our clients to ensure a customer-focused safe, and secure environment. The Lobby Security Officer must have excellent customer service and excellent communication skills. They must be able to multitask and complete all assigned patrols.

Operational

• All employees conduct themselves in an honest, ethical, and professional manner.
• Comes to work on time and completes assigned patrol tours, interior and exterior.
• Has a neat, professional appearance.
• Has a friendly, professional & courteous demeanor and provides quality customer service.
• Is a good communicator (both verbal and written).
• Understands and successfully executes his/her post orders, including enforcement of client and company policies & procedures.

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Experience, Licenses, and Certification

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• If required for an assigned account, one must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

• A customer service professional with reception/lobby experience is a plus.
• Physical security experience with access control software experience is preferred but not a requirement.
• Professional appearance & demeanor is critical to ensure proper representation of Corporate Security.
• Be dependable, punctual, flexible, and willing to take on new assignments as the Client’s needs change.
• Self-motivated, forward-thinking, and detail-oriented are important qualities due to the high level of activity within the department.
• Knowledge of Windows 10/11, Google Suite (Gmail, Chat, Docs, Sheets ) or comparable, Email, Microsoft Office, etc. is a plus.

• Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state; if higher.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to work in the United States legally
• Must submit to a pre-employment drug test
• Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
• Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated if prior military
• Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment: Office, minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures is expected

Significant activity: Frequent standing and/or walking periods for extended amounts of time, up to three miles per shift.

A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security Officer will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP, and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives. Sun123
