Weekend Childcare Provider Needed - Mp

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Respite Provider to spend some time with a sweet young man on the weekends. As a Respite Provider, you will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment for children in your care. Your role will involve implementing age-appropriate activities, promoting social and emotional development, and ensuring the well-being of each child. This little boy is on the Autism spectrum and is mostly non verbal but will use his voice to express himself. Someone patient and outgoing would be best suited for this kiddo. He is a sweetie and will show you all the love, but he does struggle with emotional regulations at times and would need a gentle/understanding touch.

Schedule: 4 hours/week available. FLEXIBLE weekend shifts

Pay: $17.66/hour (after tax)

What will you do?:

• Likes Patterns & Repetition
• Swimming (Pool Pass to Fairfax in the summer)
• Loves being outside
• Plays games on his tablet

Duties:

• Supervise and monitor his activities
• Plan age-appropriate activities to stimulate learning and development
• Provide basic care such as feeding and diapering
• Maintain a clean and organized childcare environment
• Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff members

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a childcare setting is preferred but not required
• Familiarity with behavior management techniques
• Ability to effectively communicate with children, parents, and staff members

Requirements*:

• Willing to undergo a caregiver background check prior to hire
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

*Must be able to successfully pass a background check before being hired. If hired, Consumer Direct Care Network (CDCN) will not be your legal employer on record. If hired by a Member or their Managing Party, your legal employer on record would be the Member. CDCN’s role is to assist the Member or Managing Party in recruiting a Direct Care Worker. The Member or Managing Party has the sole authority to hire or dismiss any potential Direct Care Worker.
