"Back-Up" Childcare Provider - Jy

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Respite Provider to spend some time with a sweet little boy for an hour or so during the week. As a Respite Provider, you will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment for children in your care. Your role will involve presenting age-appropriate activities, promoting social and emotional development, and ensuring the well-being of this child. This little boy is on the Autism spectrum and is mostly nonverbal but will use his voice to express himself and will direct you towards things he wants. Someone patient and outgoing would be best suited for this kiddo.

Schedule: 1 hour/week available. M, W, or F - after 3:30pm (Flexible on days/times)

Pay: $14.13/hour (after tax)

Location: In the family's home or community

What will you do?:

• LOVES outdoor play (sand, water, dirt, etc.)
• Going for bike rides (tag along bike)
• Playing at the park

Duties:

• Supervise and monitor his activities
• Plan age-appropriate activities to stimulate learning and development
• Provide basic care such as feeding (bit of a picky eater) and diapering
• Maintain a clean and organized environment
• Foster positive relationships with the child and parents

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a childcare setting is preferred but not required
• Ability to effectively communicate with children, parents, and staff members

Requirements*:

• Willing to undergo a caregiver background check prior to hire
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

*Must be able to successfully pass a background check before being hired. If hired, Consumer Direct Care Network (CDCN) will not be your legal employer on record. If hired by a Member or their Managing Party, your legal employer on record would be the Member. CDCN’s role is to assist the Member or Managing Party in recruiting a Direct Care Worker. The Member or Managing Party has the sole authority to hire or dismiss any potential Direct Care Worker.
