Weekend Caregiver

Wonderful, friendly, disabled, quadriplegic man looking for healthy, reliable caregiver to provide care and personal assistance in Sebastopol home. Start as soon as possible.

Currently seeking an additional assistant for Saturday and Sunday mornings. Also interested in backup/fill-in help.

Experience is not necessary. This is a private hire position, not IHSS.

Saturday Mornings:

10am (approx. 2 hour shift)

Duties include: Self care and grooming, dressing, transfer from bed to wheelchair, meal prep, and general housekeeping. Occasionally will pask for help with small chores or projects around the house.

Sunday Mornings:

10am (approx. 2 1/2 hour shift)

Duties include: Self care and grooming, short shower and bowel care, dressing, transfers (bed to shower chair, bed to wheelchair), meal prep, and general housekeeping.

** please note, start time is always the same but end time can flex sooner and later depending on the needs that day.

Sat mornings; non shower days, no bowel care

Sun mornings; shower + bowel day

Ideal candidates are:

Caring

Free from artificial fragrances (natural is ok)

Non smoking

Able to lift and do transfers

Flexible and able to adapt to change

Calm

Available long term

Available for occasional on-call or emergency fill in is a plus

Ideal candidates have:

A positive, friendly personality, and a great sense of humor

Good communication skills

A working cell phone and reliable reception

An email address that is checked regularly

Reliable transportation

A can do attitude and a willingness to learn

Privately paid from the client.

We will provide training to show you everything you need to know. He is very patient and will guide you through tasks.
