We are looking for a creative, motivated, go-getter Web & GraphicsDesign Intern, hungry to apply their design skills to a rapidly growing brand.
You will work with core marketing and sales team to create effective designs using brand guidelines and effective story telling strategies. Your design will be applied on all web and print collateral such as web ads, web banners, print ads, catalogs, gift boxes, packaging and booth designs.
You will gain practical hands on experience to create effective designs that motivate consumers and achieve brand awareness, generate effective leads and develop brand affinity.
Responsibilities
•Create authentic, appealing design under the guidance from the marketing team
•Learn how to apply design skills towards email marketing, social media ads, print ads and website banners
•Learn from our Brand Consultant how to maintain consistent quality and brand appeal across all communication mediums.
•Assist in the development of new patterns and prints for our baby products
•Develop design for marketing collateral such as newsletters, postcards, brochures, event campaigns and booth design
•Be a part of fun brainstorming activities to create new ideas to engage customers through design and creative expressions and drive customer engagement.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
• Currently a junior or senior pursuing a Design major
• Proficient in design programs including Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
• Ability to work fulltime during summer and desire to possibly extend part-time during school term
Soft Skills:
• Attention to detail, ownership and follow through, ability to multi-task and work with minimal guidance.
• Some experience in all stages of the content development process: From idea generation and writing to distribution and tracking.
• Some experience and desire to further knowledge in HTML, Email Tools (Mail Chimp) and Social Media (FB, Twitter, Instagram).
• Some experience in and eagerness to learn how to analyze data, present conclusions and suggest next steps.
Bonus:
•Some experience and desire to develop knowledge in HTML/CSS, Email Design, Video Editing, Photography and Print Design.
