Job Title: Web Editor
Location:Atlanta, GA 30303 (100% Onsite from Day 1)
Duration: 6 Months Contract (with a possible extension)
Job Description:
Duties/Responsibilities:
Update and maintain content on the school district website and Ensure accuracy, relevance, and timeliness of incoming information.
Optimize website pages for SEO, including meta tags, headings, and alt tags.
Collaborate with the communications team to align web content with overall district messaging.
Work closely with graphic designers, developers, and other team members to ensure that all website content is visually appealing and user-friendly.
Optimize the visual appeal and user experience of the website.
Optimize image assets for online use.
Conduct regular audits to identify and rectify broken links, outdated information, and other issues.
Ensure website compliance with accessibility standards and district policies.
Test the website for mobile web access and ease of use.
Required Skills/Abilities:
HTML and CSS.
Content Management Systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, Joomla)
Image editing software (e.g., Photoshop).
Microsoft Office
Additional Nice to have skills:
JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks.
Knowledge of UI/UX best practices.
Experience using Final site Composer, Blackboard WCM, or other educational CMS.
Experience managing academic sites.
Graphic design skills.
