Surdex is seeking an innovative Web Developer to join our R & D team creating outstanding geospatial data solutions for public and private clients. As the Web Developer, you will be responsible for back-end and front-end coding, collaborating with the Systems Administrator to manage the web servers, assisting in design and management of the database.
Essential Duties of the Web Developer:
- Write well designed, testable, efficient code using best practices.
- Create website enhancements/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices.
- Integrate data from various back-end services and databases.
- Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.
- Optimized on all platforms (desktop, tablet, mobile) and web browsers.
- Monitor website uptime across multiple sites.
- Monitor security notices and keep software current.
- Provide scope and outline for new site developments and enhancements.
- Manage all internal and external websites.
The ideal Web Developer candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related degree, or a combination of coursework and education.
- 5+ years of relevant applications development experience required.
- Strong work experience in React, SQL, and Javascript/Typescript.
- Experience using C#, .NET, JQuery, Xamarin, Postgres, GIS desired.
- Proven knowledge of the most current security and web development programming languages.
- Database Management: SQL Server.

St. Louis local candidates, or willingness to relocate, are preferred. Sponsorship to work in the U.S. now or in the future is not available for this position.
