As a Web Designer at WhiskerCloud, you will be crucial to creating a magical experience for our customers. In this non-exempt role, you will assist with building a customer's website before the official launch. The ideal candidate has an eye for detail and WordPress experience. This remote, mid-level position is an excellent full-time opportunity to continue an exciting career in website development.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Create the look and feel of the site to be presented to the client for approval before building the site
- Review client notes and implement their feedback with great detail
- Use creativity, SEO best practices, and web best practices
- Proactively communicate with Implementation and Web teams
- Support customers with requests for website edits and other queries
- Assist in the new hire onboarding process and act as a resource for new team members
- Going above and beyond for every customer and taking ownership of their tasks
About You
- 2-3 years of web design experience in front-end technologies and platforms (HTML5, and CSS3, and WordPress)
- Understanding of web hosting platforms (WPEngine or other managed servers)
- Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that website will adhere to them
- Great multi-tasking skills and ability to prioritize time
- Self-starter that can proactively manage their time and help their team
- Nice to have, but not required: Divi Theme, Canva, Google My Business, Monday.com, Hubspot, Jira, and Photoshop
