We are a venture-backed tech startup in hyper growth phase. Our headquarters are in San Francisco (Salesforce Tower) but our team is distributed across 8 timezones and we have a remote-first work culture similar to GitLab, Zapier or Stripe.
Our commercial product Loft (www.loft.sh) helps platform teams create a self-service system for virtual Kubernetes clusters using our vcluster technology. This has two major benefits: 1) It creates autonomy for developers and allows companies to build high-velocity engineering teams; and 2) It improves efficiency for running cloud native applications which can save over 70% of cloud computing cost for our customers.
We are generating revenue and growing extremely fast with a customer base that includes some of the biggest companies in the world (car manufacturers, Fortune 100 financial institutions) and some of the fastest growing tech unicorns.
Working on developer tools and open-source technology is part of our DNA. We are the maintainers of several popular open-source projects in the Kubernetes space:

Our technology is used by companies such as Adobe, VMware, Gusto, Outreach, Codefresh, and many others.
We are looking for a Senior Web Designer to lead design, UX, and product storytelling across our web properties (loft.sh, vcluster.com, devpod,sh), support our team in the continued build out of our design system, and create original concepts for new product launches and growth-optimized pages.
In this position, you will:
- Work closely with stakeholders to drive the creation of growth-optimized pages and modules.
- Bring original thinking and a unique perspective to our product communication across our web properties
- Work directly with product and marketing to build unique pages that tell our product story in a succinct and differentiated way.
- Develop our design system, including maintenance and evolution of variants, components, modules, and more.
- Work hands on with internal and external development teams to bring ambitious interactive ideas to code while always keeping an eye towards performance.
- Bring an exceptional eye for design, details, and a genuine love for the craft.
- Ensure the quality of design through rigorous QA.
You are the right candidate for this opportunity if you have:
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role, mix of agency and in-house experience.
- Experience partnering with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to self-guide and project manage with minimal direction.
- Good communication skills and ability to embrace feedback and pivot accordingly.
- Proficiency in Figma, Adobe CS, Google Workspace, Slack.
- Prototyping experience (Figma, Principle, After Effects, etc.)
- Experience working in SaaS, Devtools, and enterprise tech companies
