Web Designer

Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Web Designer with prior WordPress and UI/UX experience to join our team. We are looking for a skilled individual who is passionate about creating visually appealing and user-friendly web experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web design, front-end development, and extensive experience working with WordPress. This role will involve collaborating closely with our business and development teams to bring our web application to life.

Responsibilities:

• Designing and developing responsive and visually appealing websites and themes for diverse client sets.
• Collaborating with the team to create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
• Implementing custom WordPress themes and plugins to meet project requirements.
• Optimizing website performance and ensuring cross-browser compatibility.
• Conducting thorough testing and debugging to ensure seamless user experiences.
• Keeping up-to-date with the latest web design trends, techniques, and technologies.
• Providing support and guidance to development and support team personnel as needed.
• Communicating effectively with team members and clients to gather requirements and provide project updates.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience working with WordPress, including theme development and customization.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Experience with front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap or Foundation.
• Strong understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices and accessibility standards.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Prior experience with mobile or web application UI/UX design is preferred.

• Location: Bellingham, WA, or Cypress, TX areas

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
