Description
The Web & Digital Media Coordinator ensures the EMCC's website remains current, responsive, and user-friendly with data-driven insights from analytics for optimal engagement and functionality. The Coordinator will create and design social media content and short-form videos, as well as copyrighting and editing.
Duties
Web Master
1. Serves as the primary contact for all aspects of the EMCC website.
2. Encourages and facilitates consistent, creative, and unified web design across the College's web properties.
3. Ensures compliance with EMCC policies, procedures, and ethical standards; software licenses; and applicable state and federal laws and regulations, including data security, privacy, and intellectual property laws.
4. Maintains current knowledge of best practices and emerging web design, development, and technology developments
5. Develop content and campaigns for vital social platforms;
6. Create eye-catching graphics, banners, and infographics that are within our brand identity standards;
7. Assumes responsibility for the design and maintenance of EMCC's website.
8. Assess content, platforms, audiences, time and user experience utilizing data and searchable analytics;
9. Inform and educate employees on effective methods of media interaction, and personal and program use of social networking platforms, as well as EMCC policy.
Digital Media
10. Produces videos to promote and market the College and works with athletics program to address needs for video marketing as needed.
11. Generate and execute ideas to promote the College; this includes, but is not limited to, producing television commercials and social media;
12. Work with other departments to leverage their social media presence
Qualifications and Required Documents
Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred
Skills:
Proficient in standard web design practices; Proficient in WordPress hosted sites; Proficient in CSS, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, and PHP; Detail oriented with ability to work on multiple projects; Experience in creating graphics to be used across a variety of platforms, including, print, social media, web.
Work Experience include required number of years documented experience in a comparable/related position:
1 year

Self-motivation, responsiveness and excellent organizational and interpersonal skills while working with diverse departments and stakeholders
