Job description

J.P. Morgan Asset & Wealth Management, with client assets of $2.8 trillion, is a global leader in investment and Wealth Management. Its clients include institutions, high-net-worth individuals and retail investors in every major market throughout the world. The division offers investment management across all major asset classes including equities, Fixed Income, alternatives, multi-asset and money market funds. For individual investors, the business also provides retirement products and services, brokerage and banking services including trusts and estates, loans, mortgages and deposits.
The Manager Solutions Team is responsible for selecting and monitoring asset managers for Global Wealth Management clients. This will include communications with asset managers, internal investors and clients considering the use of an asset manager in investment programs. The team researches asset classes across equity, Fixed Income, commodities, and alternatives. We build and maintain the full product suite to serve our global client base, and as a result are global, with team members in New York, London and Mumbai.
We plan to hire a research professional focused on Fixed Income funds and separate accounts. You will work closely with portfolio managers, structuring, portfolio construction, internal/external investors, and asset class leaders while becoming the central contact with external managers across the industry.
Job responsibilities

  • Integral team member executing strategic business plan for the Fixed Income and Multi Asset manager universe, including researching, helping select, and monitoring Fixed Income investment funds as well as data maintenance and analysis (both recurring and bespoke)
  • Proactively integrate within relevant investment universes to source new opportunities
  • Comprehensively underwrite new investments utilizing analytical skills drawn out of quantitative, qualitative, and interviewing skills to frame and present an investment thesis to senior management
  • Understand broad range of financial, investment and security analysis principles, such as fundamental credit analysis, portfolio construction and risk management
  • Articulate investment underwriting process to both external managers and investors while conveying knowledge and credibility

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Experience within asset management
  • At least 3 to 5 years of practical, hands-on investment experience
  • Strong quantitative/analytical abilities as well as written/verbal presentation skills
  • Deep understanding of a broad range of financial and investment principles
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to represent the Private Bank to both fund managers and clients

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Background in Fixed Income research, credit research, portfolio management, or sustainable investments / ESG preferred
  • CFA or MBA
