Wealth Management Intern

WHO are we looking for?

CAPTRUST is seeking a Wealth Management Intern to join our wealth advisory team to provide client and prospective client Wealth Management solutions.  This includes support of our centralized financial planning model, onboarding new and existing clients onto our wealth planning platform, and continually developing strategies and solutions to better serve our clients.

CAPTRUST interns must maintain professional and ethical standards, be well organized, service oriented, and capable of performing under tight deadlines. Obtaining course credit may also be possible, depending on the student’s program approval. Hours will be flexible based on school schedule. Completion of an internship may lead to, but does not guarantee, future full-time employment. Apply today, we hire YEAR-ROUND! Primary responsibilities may include the following, among others:

• Work closely with financial advisors, client service, and peers on the Wealth Planning team
• Contribute to new research, project initiatives and ad hoc projects within required deadlines
• Support business development activities such as portfolio analytics with prospective clients and existing clients
• Learn and develop financial planning knowledge and skills
• Learn eMoney

Minimum Qualifications:

• Actively pursuing Undergraduate/Graduate degree; rising Junior or Senior 
• All School of Business Majors (Accounting, Finance, Financial planning, or Taxation) or other applicable course study (Economics, Politics/Political Science)
• Significant interest in the workings of Wealth Management and financial planning.   

 Desired Qualifications/Skills:

• Strong critical thinker who is a strong self-starter 
• Working proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook 
• Strong communication and writing skills 
• Organized, detail-oriented and able to multitask with proven ability to plan and achieve results 
• Demonstrate highest personal ethics and integrity 
• Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality of information 
• Team player, collaborative, able to work with and through others

Paid Internship; $15/hour, 10-20 hours per week, as needed.
