Description
POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the Assistant Manager-Programs oversees the daily functioning of the REACH occupational training program and the success of its trainees. This includes oversight of the participant experience and outcomes, and direct supervision of Participant Success Coaches.
REACH (Realizing Employment And Careers in Human services) is a 9-week training program designed to prepare participants with lived experience of homelessness and other significant barriers to employment for entry-level employment in the social and human services sectors. The program consists of 6 weeks of classroom training and 3 weeks of on-the-job shadows with ECS staff.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Program
- Oversees daily operations of the REACH training program including recruitment and screening of candidates, scheduling training sessions, reporting outcomes, and managing day-to-day operations.
- First level response to support participant with issues and concerns.
- Collaborate with instruction team to ensure curriculum meets participant and program needs.
- Coordinate and bridge delivery of program services and provide support at partner locations.
Supervisory
- Select, train, coach, supervise, develop and support Client Success Coaches in all aspects of their roles. participant
- Oversight and supervision of a transitional employee(s).
- Hold regular supervision for direct reports and support their professional development.
Administration
- Along with the Program Manager, responsible for the delivery of all expected program outcomes.
- Develops/maintains programmatic operational policies, procedures, program materials, orientations and schedules.
- Maintains and promotes a cooperative, harmonious, team-oriented environment of dignity and respect in line with the values and policies of ECS.
- Ensures that services are delivered in compliance with funding objectives, expected outcomes and high standards of practice.
- Records data, progress and outcomes required to secure funding for programs and collaborates with Job Center Manager and Data Analyst to provide accurate data reporting.
- In partnership with the Job Center Manager, plan and execute graduations and other participant-centered events.
Other
- Participates in team meetings to advance organizational goals.
- Collaborates with other ECS departments to bring educational and vocational support to participants of ECS throughout the organization.
- Responsible for appropriate crisis interventions and emergency responses involving Job Center participants at the Center.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma preferred, lived experience welcome.
- Minimum of 1 year's supervisory experience with a demonstrated ability to work with and lead a dynamic, evolving and hard-working team.
- Demonstrated experience in workforce, training and/or employment services.
- Experience working with multi-cultural and underserved populations.
- Familiar with and comfortable with harm reduction model.
- Strong interpersonal skills, a team approach, and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing are essential.
- Demonstrable knowledge of computer skills and moderate experience using Microsoft applications.
- Knowledge of San Francisco community resources.
- Ability to establish, model and maintain healthy boundaries.
- Must abide by confidentiality policy and procedures.
OTHER: Must secure finger image screening and annual TB screening. The Assistant Manager Program will honor and abide by Episcopal Community Services' organizational values and its policies and procedures.
