- Prepares reports, improvement plans, and other design documents.
- Responsible for quality control, schedules and oversight of plan production.
- Delegates work and gives team technical guidance assuring design is technically sound and cost efficient.
- Coordinates with team members, staff, municipalities, consultants and clients.
- Provides highly technical design and quality control.
- Processes plans and resolves issues with plan reviewers.
- Assists with projects and management.
- Mentors other design staff in areas of technical expertise.
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 7+ years’ engineering experience with public and/or private entities.
- Arizona P.E.
- Capable of preparing design on variety of water and/or wastewater projects.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Sound engineering fundamentals including hydraulic principles.
- Displays strong judgement, organizational, and technical skills and thrives in a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail, quality work and client service.
- Self-motivated and able to manage and meet multiple critical deadlines.
- Experience in water distribution and wastewater collection facilities analysis and design, which may include pump stations, storage reservoirs, well sites, lift stations, water mains and sewer mains.
- Experience with local municipalities’ engineering requirements.
- Proficiency with WaterCAD, InfoWater, and/or SewerCAD software systems.
- Experience in land development, hydraulic modeling and design.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to travel to various offices and project sites when necessary.
