Water/Fire Mitigation Crew Chief

`Empact Construction has immediate job openings for a Water/Fire Mitigation Crew Chief. This position is for residential and commercial water and fire mitigation and restoration. Job assignments include but are not limited to specialty mitigation services, light demolition, water extraction, mold abatement, fire and smoke damage mitigation, and content manipulation. This position also directs, aids, and supervises the Restoration Technicians assigned to the project.

Compensation:
Up to $30.00 per hour based on experience.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Water/Fire Restoration Crew Chief in a fire and water restoration company
• Excellent communication skills
• Valid Driver’s License
• Reliable transportation
• Reliable cell phone
• Able to move and/or lift 50+ lbs.
• Working on-call schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Willingness to undergo background check and drug screen
• Minimum required certification: IICRC Water Restoration Tech Certification (WRT); preference to candidates with ASD, FMRT, and other certs.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures the timely quality completion of assigned restoration cleaning, moving, packing, or general labor projects.
• Directs, aids, and supervises the Mitigation/Restoration Techs assigned to the Water/Fire Mitigation Crew Chief by the Manager on a per project basis.
• Ensures and evaluates competence and quality of the Water/Fire Restoration Techs.
• Ensures a continuous increase in the knowledge and skill level (training) of the Water/Fire Restoration Techs.
• Ensures the security, integrity, and cleanliness of all Company equipment and supplies used on or taken to assigned projects by the Water/Fire Mitigation Crew Chief.
• Ensures the productivity of the Mitigation/Restoration Techs assigned to the Water/Fire Mitigation Crew Chief by the Project Manager.
• Ensures all required restoration project documentation, including forms and photo-documentation, is completed in accordance with established protocols.
• Ensures excellent customer communication and relations.
• Perform other duties as required. These duties may include job functions that are outside the scope of normal job duties.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week

• Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

• Commission pay
