Job Description

AECOM is seeking a talented Water Resources Engineer to be based out of our Sacramento, California office to focus on a variety of work related to: dams, levees, floodplain modeling and mapping studies, municipal Water Resources projects, and stream restoration design.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Hydrologic and Hydraulic (H&H) modeling using various software programs
  • Water resources design using Autodesk Civil3D
  • Preparing and reviewing working drawings, plans, cost estimates, studies, reports, and other work products
  • Performing independent tasks, reviewing technical work of others; mentoring and training junior level staff
  • Writing technical reports and memoranda
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Eight (8) or more years of relevant water resource related experience

  • Professional Engineering (PE) license in California or the ability to obtain one within first 6 months of employment

  • Experience and familiarity with the following programs: HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS 1D/2D, SRH-2D, xpSWMM, HydroCAD, ArcGIS, CADD


Additional Information
  • Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation for California will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $120,000.
