Water Meter Technician

Overview:
HST Utility is seeking skilled Water Meter Technicians to join our team. As a Water Meter Technician, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to Water Meter installation & field service. This is a hands-on production role that requires strong technical skills & the ability to work in various environments. HST Utility is hiring for projects in Florida & Virginia.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 1 year experience in metering, plumbing, pipe fitting, irrigation, heating & cooling or relevant experience.

• Must have a valid Driver's License

• Must have an insured vehicle to complete your assignments.

• OSHA 10 (Before training ends)

• Available for full time. We work 5-6 days, 40-48 hours per week & some Saturdays.

• Must be reliable.

• Available for travel preferred

Responsibilities:

• Complete Water Meter installations & programming, including troubleshooting & diagnosing installation issues
• Perform locating meters
• Utilize hand & power tools to complete assigned tasks
• Conduct field service visits to client locations for meter installation or repair
• Adhere to safety protocols & guidelines at all times

Qualifications:

• Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
• Experience in Water Meter installation, plumbing, pipe fitting, irrigation, heating & cooling or other relevant experience.
• Familiarity with shut off valves, Water Meter installation procedures & identifying preexisting issues
• Proficient in using hand & power tools
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Excellent problem-solving skills & attention to detail
• Valid driver's license & auto insurance
