Position Title: Waterjet Operator
Position Type: Full Time
Rate: Starting $22.00+ DOE (Competitive wages based on experience)
Schedule: Mon-Fri 7:30am-4:00pm, 30 min unpaid lunch
Overtime: Required as requested by management
Probationary Period: 90 Days

Position Summary:
The position of Waterjet Operator requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and dynamic problem solving. This position will require the operator to accurately inspect job packets, load programs, check machine settings, index material, align the machine, monitor the cutting, check quality, and close out job packets. The operator is also expected to troubleshoot machine malfunctions, perform regular maintenance, conduct emergency maintenance/repairs, deburr, de-tab, along with a variety of other shop related tasks.
This position requires the ability to lift 50-70 pounds and obtain a fork lift operators certification (in house). This position is subject to a 30-day probationary period. The ideal waterJet Operator will have the following attributes and capabilities:

Job Duties/ Functions
- Properly open/close waterjet production shop
- Prepare machines for daily cutting
- Check pumps, intensifiers, garnet hoppers
- Verify daily project packages
- Coordinate material with Shipping/Receiving
- Load programs
- Verify Program Settings, Machine Settings
- Dwells
- Pin Gauge Nozzles
- Check offsets
- Load Material
- Build jigs as needed
- Obtain buy-off on set up
- Index machine
- Run program
- Monitor for problems
- First Part buy-off if needed
- Work with shipping/receiving to prep next job
- Record set-up and cut times
- Unload completed projects
- Deburr as required
- De-tab as required
- Operate overhead crane
- Operate fork lift
- Quality inspect finished parts
- Report on finished jobs
- Shop organization
- Shop housekeeping
