This is an entry level position in the Service Department for Amarillo Machinery Company. In this role you would be working with parts and Service to process work orders for the service department. You will process all warranty functions between AMC and several equipment manufacturers.
- Interact with manufacturers regarding various warranty functions, including but not limited to:
- Pre-Delivery Inspections
- Conversion Forms
- Warranty Registrations
- Post-Delivery Inspections
- Change of Ownership
- Data entry for processing work orders
- Reviews and responds to open work orders designated for warranty as per company policies
- Prepare warranty orders to be processed by gathering, sorting, organizing, and recording data, information, and documents electronically
- Evaluates warranty by comparing work performed to applicable warranties
- Meets company standards as they pertain to timely submission of warranty claims
- Monitors claims returned for more information or rejected
- Closes work orders, properly coding repairs.
- Studies and stays current on new product bulletins and catalogs.
- Attends company functions and meetings, visiting with customers and performing other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner
- Establish and maintain relationships with the manufacturer's designated warranty representatives
- Review every warranty repair order written for proper completion, accuracy and legibility according to the policies and procedures
- Analyze problems, identify trends and develop strategies for maximizing claim process
- Assist service consultants in closing all open warranty
- Assist service consultants and technicians with any warranty questions
- Assist with special projects, audits and reports as requested
- Attend warranty training courses as needed
- Assist with answering incoming calls to store.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant experience preferred, from either a service or warranty role in either the heavy equipment or automotive industry
- Competency with math and essential financial calculations for invoicing
- Computer skills required, including all Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Ability to problem solve difficult service situations
- Demonstrated customer service skills, ability to multi-task, and strong analytical skills with a focus on problem solving
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information
- General knowledge of diesel and hydraulic parts and mechanical operations a plus

Pay: $12.00 - $19.00 per hour
