Warehouse/ Stand-up Forklift Operator (Freezer Environment)
Sugar Bowl is currently looking to add a 1st shift, 645am- 315pm, Warehouse Associate with at least 3 years of stand-up forkliftexperience working in a food industry related warehouse. Positions are fulltime, mostly M-F with Saturdays as needed.
Summary: Warehouse Associates frequently use Stand-up FL in a freezer environment. Perform warehousing tasks such as shipping and receiving, labeling, palletizing, staging pallets, material handling, rotating product using FIFO, racking, and housekeeping using company tools and equipment. Responsible for proper execution of safety, GMP’s, and all departmental procedures.
Responsibilities
· Loads and unloads shipments following SBB procedures
· Moves product throughout the facility in a safe, time sensitive, and food safe manner
· Operates Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) equipment, dock levelers, dock doors, and other necessary material handling equipment safely and with respect
· Counts, validates, and inventories materials before and after material movements to ensure inventory accuracy. This includes cycle counting.
· Assists all departments as needed
· Housekeeping and 5S
Critical Activities
· Safe food handling of materials through the facility in a timely manner
· Loading and unloading of materials with proper documentation and tagging for inventory accuracy
· Inspects, respects, and maintains all warehouse equipment
· Completes all activities assigned
Employee and Non-Employee contact
· Interacts with warehouse associates in a coworker capacity as well as production team members, quality team members, and sanitation team members as assigned.
· External contact is more limited to transportation drivers delivering or picking up freight.
Min Education/Experience
· High School diploma required, some advanced education preferred
· Minimum 3 years stand-up forklift operation experience, more preferred
Required skills and qualifications
· Computer skills –Windows, Outlook for email
· Physical requirements – lift 50 pounds, must be able to work entire shift on feet
· Must have reliable math skills
· Must have reliable transportation
· Must be willing to work any shift and weekends when assigned
· Must be able to write, speak and understand English proficiently
Material Handler functions
· Moves materials staged by the coordinator to the production lines.
· Returns materials from the lines to the staging area once the run is complete
· Ensures production is stacking and wrapping materials for proper containment and movement
· Ensures production is placing an inventory label with item, lot, and quantity on every unit used before returning to staging area
· Validates production output
· Fills out production hand off sheet in pallet sequence
· Verifies case labels match placards with item number and lot number
· Puts away production output
· Transfers finished goods from production to freezer locations
· Documents locations by pallet number on the hand off form
· Transfers the material bin locations in Netsuite using the RF hand gun
· Maintain housekeeping and warehouse organization
· Move/stack materials in the warehouse as required for organization
· Cycle count as assigned
· Safe PIT operation
· Housekeeping and 5S
· Perform the shipping receiving function as required

· Pick orders as directed by supervision
· Load/unload trucks as directed by supervision
· Check in drivers
· Follow dock safety protocols
· Sign out drivers
· Tag and placard inbound materials
· Put away inbound materials/finished goods following Allergen control and Warehouse storage policies
· Cycle counting as assigned
· Safe PIT operation
· Housekeeping and 5S
· Perform the material handling function as required

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.50 per hour
