Hours: 7:00am-3:00PM Monday- Friday
Position Purpose:
This position is responsible for receiving finished goods, handling all material & providing error free shipments to our valued customers. Goals are met by working closely with the shipping dept. & sales service team at our nearby production facility, as well as the on-site warehouse coordinator to maintain proper shipping requirements and management of accurate inventory.
Position Responsibilities
- Ability to learn our computer system, UPS system, & internet based freight sites
- Receive & process finished goods (tags & labels) from manufacturing plant
- Review, pick, process and ship small parcel, LTL and TL orders accurately & timely
- Communicate effectively with freight carriers to schedule outbound shipments
- Operate forklifts, hand jacks & order picker in a safe and responsible manner. Must be OSHA certified to operate any motorized equipment (will train)
- Inspect forklifts before each shift, maintaining water levels and battery charges on motorized equipment
- Participate in weekly safety inspections
- Proper handling/positioning of product to ensure damage/injury hazards are minimized or eliminated
- Must be able to work at heights up to 15 ft. on a daily basis
- Must be able to lift 70 pounds & work on your feet for duration of shift
- Must be able to reach, bend, lift and pull materials
- Must be able to count and verify accuracy of all finished goods received into warehouse in an accurate & timely manner
- Evaluate & determine most efficient bin locations for incoming products
- Maintain organization & professionalism in dealing with others & a customer first attitude
- Ability to read & understand written and verbal instructions with little supervision
- Basic math skills
- Good data entry skills
- Detail orientated
- Ability to work independently as part of a small, on-site team, with little supervision
