Warehouse Utility Forklift Operator

Description:

We are looking for hard-working, motivated, and energetic individuals for a wood pallet logistics site. Opportunity to advance by being cross-trained to cover multiple areas in the warehouse, including manual container sortation, machine-assisted pallet sortation, bandsaw, compactor/baler, pallet painting, and forklift operation, as needed. The position requires constant standing, bending, stooping, walking, and the ability to lift and handle material weighing up to 75 pounds or more frequently (if working with pallets) or 35 pounds frequently (if working with containers). This position requires the ability to do repetitive work.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

• Sorting pallets, RPCs, boxes, or other materials by hand or with machine assistance in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Operating Bandsaw in the teardown of wood pallets.
• Operating Baler by swapping full toes of bad boxes with empty totes, keeping track of damaged cardboard by counting boxes and using tick sheet, placing damaged boxes in bailer, tying bales with wire strands, ejecting bales, and calling Forklift Operator for safe removal of bales.
• Ensuring quality painting of pallets using paint equipment.
• Operating forklift, ensuring it is in safe operating condition, moving pallets from one area to another, ensuring that all material that are moved are properly accounted for and marked for proper documentation, ensuring accuracy of load sheets, and completing daily inspections of the forklift and checklist.
• Maintaining a clean work environment and sweeping debris around warehouse and dock areas.
• Inspecting items while sorting to ensure criteria is met and maintain established rate per man hour.
• Sorting items by vendor and process at an established rate per hour.
• Ensuring compliance and following all safety and Propak policies and procedures.
• Complete other duties as assigned to support and improve the overall team operations.
• Reporting relationships, work assignments, and work schedules are subject to change to meet the company needs and business requirements.
• Teamwork and cooperation are required for proper job performance.
• The ability to meet fast-paced productivity goals and standards.
• The ability to work in a physically demanding warehouse environment
• Must have the ability to show up to work on scheduled days. Attendance at work is an essential function of this job.
• Must be open to learning new skills. If you do not have prior experience, we are willing to train the right candidate.

Work Location: 2777 USA Parkway, Sparks, NV 89434

Pay Scale: $19.00 - $22.00 p/h, plus a $0.50 cent increase after completing your first 90 days.

Schedule: Monday- Friday (5:00 am - 1:30 pm)

Work Environment:

• While performing the duties of the job the employee may be exposed to dust, cold weather, hot weather, and moderate noise levels.
