Warehouse Utility employees are hard-working, motivated, and energetic individuals working for a wood pallet logistics site. They are cross-trained to cover multiple areas in the warehouse, which may include manual sortation, use of painting equipment, facility maintenance including but not limited to, compactor/baler, pallet painting, and forklift operation, depending on the operational needs of the facility. The position requires constant standing, bending, stooping, walking, and the ability to lift and handle material weighing up to 75 pounds or more frequently (if working with pallets) or 35 pounds frequently (if working with containers). This position requires the ability to do repetitive work.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Sorting pallets, RPCs, boxes, or other material by hand or with machine assistance in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Operating Baler by swapping full totes of bad boxes with empty totes, keeping track of damaged cardboard by counting boxes and using tick sheet, placing damaged boxes in baler, tying bales with wire strands, ejecting bales, and calling forklift operator for safe removal of bales.
  • Ensuring quality painting of pallets and use of painting equipment.
  • Maintaining a clean work environment and sweeping debris around warehouse and dock areas.
  • Inspecting items while sorting to ensure criteria is met and maintain established rate per man hour.
  • Sorting items by vendor and processing at an established rate per hour.
  • Ensuring compliance and following all safety and Propak policies and procedures.
  • Complete other duties as assigned to support and improve the overall team operations.
  • Reporting relationships, work assignments, and work schedules are subject to change to meet the company needs and business requirements.
  • Teamwork and cooperation are required for proper job performance.
  • The ability to meet fast-paced productivity goals and standards.
  • The ability to work in a physically demanding warehouse environment
  • Must have the ability to show up to work on scheduled days. Attendance at work is an essential function of this job.
  • Must be open to learning new skills. If you do not have prior experience, we are willing to train the right candidate.
