The Warehouse Technical Lead will lead shipping and receiving duties and assist in the training and development of team members.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of 4-6 warehouse and logistics professionals
• Ensure safe, timely shipment and accurate documentation of all outbound materials and products
• Coordinate with manufacturing, sales, purchasing, project management, and other departments to arrange movement of materials and equipment to meet manufacturing and sales schedules
• Maintain team performance metrics and work with team and managers on areas for improvement
• Manage local relationships with carriers, including process improvements, lost items, claims, and billing approval
• Cross train with and back up other warehouse leads
• Help rotate warehouse specialists through different tasks so that they can learn all aspects of proper handling, receiving, storing, and shipping parts
• Ensure team members are properly trained to safely use tools and material handling equipment in the warehouse
• Lead documentation and continuous improvement of standard processes in the work area

Qualifications and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required

• Must have loading experience with small package, LTL, and full truckload shipments

• Previous experience as a warehouse or logistics (shipping and receiving) supervisor or similar position preferred
• Must possess a strong background in domestic and international shipping
• Understanding of export/import rules and regulations
• Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management
• Excellent leadership and organizational skills
• Time management skills and the ability to delegate
• Knowledge and experience working ERP/WMS systems
• Strong problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills
